Marian hossa biography
Marián Hossa (born on January 12, 1979 in Stará Ľubovňa, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak professional ice hockey right winger who is currently under contract for the Arizona Coyotes of the NHL.
Marian was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the first round (12th overall) of the 1997 NHL Entry Draft; he has played for the Senators, Atlanta Thrashers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks. While with the Blackhawks, he became a three-time Stanley Cup champion (in 2010, 2013 and 2015).
Throughout his career, Marian has accumulated 525 goals and 609 assists for 1,134 points in 1,309 regular-season games over his 19-year NHL career; he was the 44th player in NHL history to score 500 goals.
Prior to the 2017–18 season, the Blackhawks announced that Marian was suffering from a progressive skin disorder and would miss the entire 2017–18 season; in May of 2018, he announced that he would no longer play professional hockey and he intends to retire after his contract expires in 2021.
In July of 2018, Marian's contract was traded to the Arizona Coyotes in as part of a seven-player deal.
Playing Career[]
Ottawa Senators (1998–2004)[]
Marian was drafted in the first round, 12th overall, by the Ottawa Senators in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft from Dukla Trenčín of the Slovak Extraliga.
Shortly thereafter, he was selected fifth overall in the 1997 Canadian Hockey League (CHL) Import Draft by the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League (WHL), acquiring his major junior rights in the event that he did not immediately stick with the Senators in the NHL.[1]
After seven games in the NHL, the Senators assigned Marian to junior where he tallied 45 goals and 40 assists for 85 points in 53 games with the Winterhawks in the 1997–98 season, earning him the Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy as WHL rookie of the year, as well as CHL and WHL West First Team All-Star honors.

Marián Hossa (born 12 January 1979, in Stará Ľubovňa, Czechoslovakia, now Slovakia) is a Slovak former professional ice hockeyright winger. He played a total of 19 years in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for the Ottawa Senators, Atlanta Thrashers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings, and Chicago Blackhawks. He played in attack, preferably in right-wing. He was considered as one of the fastest skating players of the sport. He wore number 81 on his jersey.
After the 2007-2008 season when his team, the Pittsburgh Penguins, lost to the Detroit Red Wings in the Stanley Cup he switched teams to the Detroit Red Wings because he felt he had a better chance of winning the Stanley Cup with them. When the Penguins again met the Red Wings in the Stanley Cup after the 2008-2009 season, Hossa was once again on the losing team as the Penguins won in 7 games.
Hossa signed a 12-year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks that's worth 62.8 million dollars.
After losing two straight Stanley Cup finals with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Detroit Red Wings, He finally won the Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2010. On June 24, 2013, He won his second Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks after they defeated the Boston Bruins 4 games to 2 in the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals.
Before the 2017–18 season, it was announced that Hossa would miss the entire season because of eczema.
On April 7, 2022, Hossa signed a one-day contract with the Blackhawks and retired from professional ice hockey. On November 20, 2022, the Blackhawks retired Hossa's jersey number #81.

Hossa je môj najobľúbenejší hokejista od detstva, ale táto kniha bola literárna pohroma.
3 hviezdičky sú fakt len za oživenie spomienok na moje teenage roky, keď som Hossu po nociach sledovala v NHL a za fotky, tie boli fajn. A aj tie 3 hviezdičky sú extrémne veľkorysé. Keby na obálke nebol Hossa, skončím na 15. strane a dávam 1 hviezdičku, tak zle napísanú/preloženú knihu som nevidela už dávno. Dej (Hossov život) sa sledovať nedá, lebo skáčeme v čase a priestore 30 rokov sem, 30 rokov tam, 10 000 km sem, 10 000 km tam, polovicu času som sa snažila zorientovať, kde som. Stále mi nie je jasné, či to bol rozhovor, biografia, prúd vedomia, voľná tvorba... Niektoré časti sú napísané ako doslovný prepis Hossovho voľného rozprávania (kde sa 7x zamotal), niektoré časti sú proste náhodné fakty z jeho života, potom je tam fakt rozhovor s niekým z príbuzných/kamarátov. Dosť hot mess, chcelo to ešte hodne editovania. A moje úplne najobľúbenejšie sú časti, ktoré vyzerajú ako, keď som na 4. hodine nemčiny opisovala svoju rodinu za použitia všetkých 15 slov, ktoré som sa zatiaľ naučila (viď úryvok nižšie). Akože okej, možno Hossa nie je práve rétor, ale asi preto si to nepísal sám. Novinári, ktorí to akože písali (prekladali) si mali spraviť svoju prácu, lebo toto je na úrovni speech to text AI ktorá chvíľu Hossu počúvala... "Máme psa. Vlastne, už som mal niekoľkých psov. Raz som mal weimarského stavača. Prezývajú ich aj siví duchovia. Bol to skôr lovecký pes, ale nádherný. V Atlante sme si s Jankou kúpili anglického buldoga. Volal sa Bono, som totiž fanúšik U2, je to skvelá kapela. V Chicagu som bol na ich koncerte na štadióne Soldier Field. Bol to úžasný zážitok. Náš Bono bol milý bezstarostný pes. Teraz máme dalšieho psa rasu Cavapoo. Volá sa Gina. Vybrali si ju deti. Je to menší pes. Máme ho z Maďarska.
